The Municipality of Nessebar is renovating the farmers' market in Obzor for better trading conditions.

The mayor of Nessebar Municipality, Nikolay Dimitrov, and the mayor of Obzor town, Hristo Yanev, carried out an inspection of the ongoing repair activities at the farmers' market in Obzor. The goal of the project is the comprehensive improvement and modernization of the area around the market, in order to improve the conditions for the sale of agricultural products by local producers.

The repair activities include the elimination of the terrain unevenness and the construction of an expanded, leveled base, on which a metal supporting structure will be installed. A canopy covering the entire trading area will be placed on it, and a "back" will be constructed in the rear part, ensuring the market's operation in any weather conditions. The trading stalls will be electrified, and the lighting will be provided by energy-efficient LED fixtures. The market space will be paved with a suitable surface, and the sidewalk tiles in the surrounding area will be replaced. The market will be connected to the water and sewerage network, and a service room will be built for the convenience of the traders.

Mayors Dimitrov and Yanev also discussed the parking conditions in the market area, and parking spaces will be provided for customers with a certain free stay period. After the completion of the construction work, the facility will provide more convenience and useful space for commercial activity to the producers of agricultural products from the region and to the buyers.

"As a result of the renovation of the market space, the conditions for product placement will be significantly improved. The renewed facility and the activity it will perform are not tied to the duration of the tourist season - it can be used according to the seasonality of agricultural production, creating conditions for competition in the supply of food," said Mayor Dimitrov. He added that Obzor has the potential to develop not only sea, but also cultural and spa tourism, and Nessebar Municipality is working to change the image of the town through investments in infrastructure and facilities for public use.

The mayors also visited other sites whose construction is a priority for Obzor and Nessebar Municipality.
