Ask the people of Burgas about the most romantic spot in their city, and most will point you straight to the Sea Garden.
This is not just a park — it’s the beating heart of the city, an open-air stage of love, art, music, and shared memories.
Created in 1910 by landscape architect Georgi Duhtev, the garden turned a barren coastline into a green paradise. Hundreds of exotic plant species from around the world still flourish here, and the old part of the park is now a protected cultural monument.
The park spans 60 hectares and stretches over 5 km — enough to wander for hours.
Start your walk from Bogoridi Street and you'll be greeted by a breathtaking sea view from the iconic terrace known as the balustrade. It’s witnessed countless kisses, childhood laughter, and sunsets soaked in emotion.
Fountains that sing city tales, the Sea Casino as a cultural hub, the Shell Stage with music under the stars — every corner tells a different story.
Don’t miss the Summer Theatre or the “Flora” flower dome exhibition — both central to the city's cultural life.
After a walk, you’ll find yourself on the promenade with cozy restaurants serving traditional Burgas dishes — the perfect end to a perfect day.
The Sea Garden is peace, romance, and inspiration. And everyone who visits feels they’ll return again — to the sound of waves, sea breeze, and the whispers of fountains.

More than a park, the Sea Garden is a symbol of Burgas — a place of beauty, culture, and countless love stories.
