The Minister of Environment and Waters Manol Genov and the Romanian Ambassador Brandusa Predescu held a meeting, at which they discussed the importance of continuing the fruitful cooperation between Bulgaria and Romania in the field of environmental and water protection.

The Minister of Environment and Waters Manol Genov met with the Romanian Ambassador to Bulgaria Brandusa Predescu to discuss deepening the bilateral cooperation in the field of environmental and water protection. Minister Genov emphasized that this cooperation is of paramount importance for the sustainable development and well-being of the entire region. Ambassador Predescu expressed satisfaction with the positive effect in the implementation of joint projects between the two countries, such as the strategic project "Danube River Risk Prevention" and the projects under the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Programme. Both expressed readiness to continue the dialogue and cooperation regarding these and other future joint initiatives funded by European funds. In addition, Minister Genov and Ambassador Predescu discussed the work of companies with Romanian investments operating in the territory of Bulgaria.
