A child was injured in a Russian drone attack in Kharkiv. The child is receiving medical care.

A child has been injured in Kharkiv as a result of an enemy drone attack this morning, according to updated information. The child is receiving medical attention.

BurgasMedia reports this, citing Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

"As a result of falling debris from an enemy drone in the Shevchenkivskyi district, we have an injured child," the mayor's Telegram post reads.

He also reported that according to preliminary data, the injured child has an acoustic barotrauma, which is an injury caused by the acoustic blast wave.

"The child is receiving all necessary medical assistance," Terekhov added.

Drone attack in Kharkiv on April 26

As BurgasMedia reported earlier, explosions were heard in Kharkiv early this morning. Local authorities reported a drone attack on the city.

It also became known that enemy drones attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv, and smoke was seen at the site of the impact.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov, reported that a drone hit the roadway. At that time, there were no reports of any casualties.

Subsequently, the mayor of the city clarified that there was an impact near a residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv.
