Burgas educators awarded prestigious awards for educational achievements

On May 22, Thursday, at 1:00 pm at the International Congress Center in Burgas, a solemn ceremony will be held to award 97 educators from kindergartens, schools, and universities in the city for high professional achievements during the 2024-2025 academic year. The event is organized by the Municipality of Burgas and is dedicated to the celebrations on the occasion of May 24 - the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture, and of Slavic literature.

During the ceremony, the teachers from Burgas, proposed by the teams of the respective children's and educational institutions by decision of the pedagogical council, will be awarded a plaque and a certificate for achieving high results and contribution in the field of education. The honorary awards of the Ministry of Education and Science "Neofit Rilski" will also be presented.

The guests will be greeted with musical performances by the student string quartet "Bez ime" led by Ana-Maria Ivanova, the quartet "Nova Angels" led by Denitsa Yordanova from the NUMSI "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" and Niya Stoyanova led by Milena Dobreva. The ceremony will be hosted by young actors from the Luben Grois Theatre College.

The event is a gesture of gratitude for the work, activity, and results of the teachers throughout the year, in sync with the efforts of the Municipality of Burgas to improve the quality of early childhood and school education.
