Burgas has launched a large-scale program for the renovation of residential buildings.

The Municipality of Burgas is proceeding with the implementation of a large-scale program to improve the energy efficiency of residential buildings in the city. In the first stage, 30 blocks have been approved, the renovation of which is already in progress. The companies that won the public procurement contracts have already started the construction and installation work, and the activities are expected to be completed by the fall.

Among the blocks that are currently being renovated or the work on them will start in the near future are: residential complex "Meden rudnik" - blocks 4, 5, 6, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 20, 29, 30, 75, 78, 81, 86, 87, 91, 96, 100, 103 and 113; residential complex "Izgrev" - blocks 18, 23, 28A, 35 and 44; residential complex "Slaveikov" - block 10; residential complex "Lazur" - block 79.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Burgas has announced new public procurement contracts for the engineering of 22 residential buildings, which were approved but were included in the reserve list for financing under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan. Among them are: residential complex "Meden rudnik" - blocks 74, 92, 83, 85 and 437; residential complex "Izgrev" - blocks 65, 49A, 39, 86, 35, 42, 41A, 15A and 25; residential complex "Slaveikov" - blocks 13, 14, 14A, 20 and 76; residential complex "Zornitsa" - blocks 25A and 30.

The expectation is that in the next five years all the buildings approved for financing but included in the reserve lists will be renovated. The Municipality of Burgas is taking these steps to save time and start work as soon as possible, while ensuring the necessary funding.
