Burgas marks the World Environment Day with a series of environmental initiatives

From June 2 to 5, 2025, the Municipality of Burgas will hold a series of initiatives united under the motto "We are part of the solution", in order to encourage sustainable behavior, raise awareness about environmental challenges, and create engagement in every citizen towards nature conservation.

On June 2 at 4:00 PM in Primorski Park near the Sea Casino, the exhibition "The Future I Want for You and Me" will be opened, featuring works by participants and laureates of the National Poster Competition, realized with the support of Humana People to People Bulgaria.

On June 3 at 11:30 AM in Primorski Park near the Expo Center "Flora", Yettel's RECYCLER will be presented - an interactive educational installation for recycling electronic waste. The winners who have delivered the most waste to the Mobile Centers of the Municipality of Burgas for 2024 will also be awarded at a ceremony on June 4 at 11:00 AM in Primorski Park.

On June 5 at 10:00 AM, the action "Clean Today - Green Tomorrow" will take place, including the cleaning of polluted areas in the "Nativity of the Mother of God" park near the church in the Dolno Ezerovo district, with the participation of students and local residents. On the same day, at 12:00 PM in Dolno Ezerovo, there will be demonstrations of good practices for separate collection of bio-waste, and at 2:00 PM the eco-initiative "Green Environment" will be implemented for the landscaping of the plant waste site through the planting of low-growing vegetation.
