On June 29, 2025, the Burgas Aviation Museum will celebrate its 8th anniversary with a festive program dedicated to aviation and its rich heritage. The date is symbolic - on the same day in 1947, the first regular flight between Sofia and Burgas took place, and in 1928, the Burgas Airport was founded, which on this day celebrates its 98th anniversary.
The celebratory day will be held under the motto "8 years with a view to the sky". The program starts with a drone exhibition at 10:00 am, where visitors will be able to get acquainted with professional and amateur unmanned aerial vehicles. From 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, actors from the State Puppet Theater - Burgas, disguised as pilots from the golden years of the Bulgarian Civil Aviation, will greet the guests and create a sense of the time of the first passenger flights.
During the day, two art workshops will be held. At 11:00 am, children will make cheerful magnets in the shape of airplanes, and from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, they will paint textile bags inspired by the themes of the sky, airplanes, and space. Parallel to this, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, there will be demonstrations of aviation modeling, where children and parents will learn more about this exciting hobby.
The afternoon program includes animators who, from 4:00 pm, will organize thematic aviation games for the youngest guests. At 5:00 pm, the Majorette Team from the P. R. Slaveykov Primary School - Burgas will present a thematic dance inspired by the world of aviation.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet and talk with respected figures in Bulgarian civil aviation - Captain Plamen Stalev and flight attendant Valentina Valkova, who will share their experiences, including the "Vienna Flight" and the night when Varna went dark. From 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, the popular creator of science content Slavi Panayotov - The Clashers will be a guest, who will talk about aviation and share interesting facts.
