The architectural ensemble, transformed into a museum complex, represents an authentically preserved residential building from the mid-19th century, which reveals the world of the notable Bulgarian writer. The exhibition traces Polyanov's life path - from his birth to his significant creative achievements that shape his literary portrait.
The museum collection includes a rich collection of personal belongings, manuscripts, and documents that reveal the multifaceted personality of the creator. Visitors can peek into the writer's study, where his desk, typewriter, and library with over 500 volumes of specialized literature are preserved.
The exhibition traces the different stages of Polyanov's professional biography - his education, pedagogical activities, and literary work. Special emphasis is placed on his publications in periodicals and original manuscripts, which testify to his contribution to Bulgarian Revival literature.
The architecture of the house museum is a typical example of Revival-era construction in Karnobat. The building is two-stories high, built of stone and wood, with characteristic bay windows and interior layout typical of the domestic culture of that period. Each room has been restored with exceptional precision, preserving the authentic atmosphere.
The museum not only preserves the memory of Dimitar Polyanov but also fulfills an important educational function. Thematic discussions, meetings with students and researchers who study his creative heritage are regularly held here. The exhibition offers multimedia presentations and interactive materials that make the visit attractive to different age groups.
