Tourism Minister Miroslav Borsosh and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Bulgaria, H.E. Nathaniel Copsey, held a meeting to discuss the opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism. The goal is not only to restore pre-pandemic levels of tourist flow, but also to offer new, high-quality tourism products for British guests.
The United Kingdom remains one of the priority incoming markets for Bulgaria. According to NSI data, in 2024 nearly 253 thousand British tourists were registered in accommodation establishments in our country - an increase of 4.9% compared to 2023, although the market has not yet reached the levels of 2019. British tourists show a sustained interest in sea, cultural, urban and winter tourism, with Nessebar, Sofia, Bansko, Borovets and Varna remaining the leading destinations.
