Bulgaria was a key participant in the ministerial panel of the 2025 World Tourism Forum in Prague, where Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh opened the forum by outlining the future direction of Bulgarian tourism.
Main topics included digitalization, sustainable development, destination security, and technological innovations. Minister Borshosh emphasized that "tourism is entering a new phase" and stressed the importance of people and regional development. He shared Bulgaria’s strategy for developing specialized tourism—SPA, wine, cultural, and year-round travel—aligned with global trends.
During the event, the minister held bilateral meetings with officials from France, Israel, the Czech Republic, and the UAE, focusing on joint initiatives, marketing campaigns, and knowledge exchange.
Bulgaria reaffirmed its commitment to responsible and innovative tourism, as well as its active role in international cooperation as a member of the UN Tourism Executive Council.
