Representative units from the Bulgarian Army will participate in the ceremonial events marking the 118th anniversary of Bulgaria's Declaration of Independence.

By tradition, the city of Veliko Tarnovo will serve as the center of the national celebrations. As part of the official events on September 22, representative units from the "Vasil Levski" National Military University will take part. At 9:00 a.m., a blessing ceremony will be held in the courtyard of the "St. 40 Martyrs" Church, during which the university's battle flag, as well as the flags of state and municipal institutions, will be sprinkled with holy water.

At 10:30 a.m., a military ritual for the raising of the national flag of the Republic of Bulgaria will take place at the "Tsarevets" architectural and museum reserve, followed by the laying of wreaths and flowers at the Independence Pyramid.

Starting at 1:30 p.m., the Representative Ensemble of the Armed Forces will perform a festive concert in front of the Veliko Tarnovo Municipality building. The ceremonial inspection for the holiday will begin at 7:30 p.m. at "Tsar Asen I" Square; shortly before it commences, attendees will be able to watch a drill demonstration with weapons performed by a representative unit from the university.

In Sofia, the official ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Independence Monument on "Alexander I" Square, featuring the National Guards Unit. At 12:00 p.m., a ceremonial changing of the guard will take place in front of the Presidency Administration building.

The Naval Forces, together with the Varna and Veliki Preslav Holy Metropolis, will co-organize the Independence celebrations in Varna. The festivities will begin on September 22 at 10:00 a.m. at "Independence" Square.

In Burgas, service members from the Naval Forces, the Air Force, and the Logistics Support Command will participate in the ceremonial events, which start at 10:30 a.m. at "Atanas Sirekov" Square. At 11:00 a.m., a wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the Monument of the 24th Black Sea Infantry Regiment.
