The history of the operational-tactical missile system "Sapsan" (also known as "Hrim-2") begins in 2006, when Ukraine sets the ambitious goal of creating its own non-nuclear shield. Initially, the project receives $12 million and by 2009 a draft plan is ready, scheduled for launch in 2011. But political games and lack of funds put it on hold.
After the annexation of Crimea in 2014, the project is resumed with support from Saudi Arabia. In 2018, a mock-up is shown at the military parade. With the beginning of the full-scale aggression in 2022, Russian agents try to steal documentation and sabotage the development, but the agent network is uncovered and several prototypes are saved.
In May 2025, the Ukrainian "Sapsan" missile hits a hostile target at 300 km. According to unofficial data, as early as 2022, the first test strikes may have reached Crimea. Now the project is in serial production with characteristics such as 30-480 km range, 7 m length, 3500 kg weight, and 480 kg warhead. Experts call it "the Ukrainian answer to 'Tochka-U', but much more precise and effective."

Ukraine is not just making missiles - it is creating a weapon of will and independence. And if Moscow ever becomes a "training ground" for new ballistic tests, it will be the result not of threats, but of necessary defense.
