144 fires were extinguished in Bulgaria in 24 hours, the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Protection (GDPBZ) reported. One person was injured in a fire in Varna. The services responded to 180 calls, 12 of which were false alarms. Strict adherence to fire safety regulations is necessary.

The General Directorate for Fire Safety and Population Protection (GDPBSP) reported a busy 24 hours marked by numerous fires. As of 6:00 AM, the official report shows a total of 144 extinguished fires nationwide.

The scale of the events is impressive, highlighting the need for constant vigilance and effective work of the fire services. The GDPBSP clarifies that they responded to 180 incident reports, indicating a significant number of incidents requiring prompt and competent intervention.

Unfortunately, not all incidents passed without consequences. A 67-year-old man was injured in an apartment fire in Varna. Details about the extent of his injuries are not specified in the official report, but the case underscores the seriousness of the situation and the risks associated with fires. The case is further proof of the need for strict adherence to fire safety rules at home and in the workplace.

Of the total number of fires, 22 caused direct material damage, causing additional difficulties for those affected. The remaining 122 fires were extinguished without significant material damage, thanks to the quick response of the firefighters.

In addition to extinguishing fires, the GDPBSP also carried out 24 rescue and assistance operations, demonstrating the wide range of tasks they handle daily.

The GDPBSP_q_s report also notes 12 false calls, which represents an unnecessary burden on the services and takes away valuable time that can be crucial in real situations. The current statistics place a serious emphasis on the need for responsible behavior and public awareness to avoid such situations. False alarms not only create unnecessary anxiety, but can also delay response in a real emergency.
