Innovations in Language Learning: Lecture on Japanese and Chinese

Students studying Japanese and Chinese in the bachelor's programs at the Burgas branch of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" had the opportunity to become acquainted with innovative approaches in the field of language learning. They attended a special lecture dedicated to "Linguistic corpora and digital resources for foreign language learning".

The lecture, delivered by Prof. Tanina Zappone, a guest lecturer from the university in the Italian city of Turin, sparked high interest and activity among those present.

The hall where the event took place was full of curious students. The lively discussions showed a great interest in the topic and a desire to acquire new knowledge. Professor Zappone presented modern methods for learning languages using digital tools, which further attracted the attention of the audience. The participants were visibly impressed by the new possibilities that these tools offer.

Significant figures from the academic community also attended the event. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Antonia Tsankova, Deputy Director of the Burgas Branch, was among the official guests. Also present was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vyara Nikolova, Head of the "Japanese Studies" Department at the Faculty of Classical and Modern Philology, who is responsible for conducting the training at the branch.

It is important to note that the bachelor's programs in Japanese and Chinese began for the first time in the current academic year. This represents a new educational opportunity for young people from the entire Southeastern region who are interested in studying these languages.

At a time when international contacts are of key importance, the branch in Burgas is actively developing its international partnerships. The aim is to offer its students training that is as closely connected as possible to the real academic and cultural environment around the world.
