Police in Sofia have arrested a 57-year-old man on suspicion of making and sharing pornographic material involving young children. The cybercrime directorate of GDBOP, Bulgaria's organised crime agency, carried out the arrest.
The operation took place on 19 October. Sofia District Prosecutor's Office is overseeing the police work.
Officers took a computer, a tablet and a mobile phone from the man. The computer held 13 GB of files showing child sexual abuse.
In a first check of the devices, cybercrime officers found many files, some of them made by the man himself. They include footage of indecent behaviour in public places: on public transport, in parks, gardens and on beaches.
Some of the photos and videos show underage boys and girls directly.
