"Innovation in Education Days" returns with an autumn edition and six new cities.
After its incredibly successful spring debut, the series of free events "Innovation in Education Days" will reach six more cities across the country this autumn. The initiative, organized by the Center for Creative Education, aims to provide teachers, principals, and educational specialists nationwide with valuable practical skills and access to leading innovative technologies.
The Center for Creative Education announced that the autumn edition promises an even richer program to meet the growing interest in modernizing the educational process. The events will be held in partnership with regional education authorities and local municipal administrations, highlighting the broad support the project receives at an institutional level.
First Encounter with Innovation
Participants will have the opportunity to join a variety of practical workshops, experiment with new technologies, and learn from leading experts. One of the key areas is the introduction of robotics in the classroom, where teachers will have their first encounter with this dynamically developing field.
The new dates and cities for the autumn cycle have already been announced, and registration is open on the official website of the initiative. The calendar includes: September 25 in Burgas, September 30 in Vidin, October 7 in Plovdiv, October 14 in Silistra, November 18 in Veliko Tarnovo, and November 19 in Targovishte.
Practical Knowledge and Leading Names
The main goal of "Innovation in Education Days" is to provide easily applicable ideas and tools that teachers can immediately adapt to their work. The program is structured with two parallel sessions – one for kindergartens and one for schools, with each event being free of commercial elements and focusing entirely on practical support and real-world examples.
Among the main topics to be covered are learning through play, robotics, and practical science demonstrations suitable for early and primary age. Training will also be held on digital skills and visual storytelling, including working with free educational tools like Canva Education. Special attention will be paid to the implementation of artificial intelligence in the classroom, STEAM methodologies, and modern approaches to electronic assessment.
To guarantee the high quality of the training, the organizers have attracted key names in the field of education and technology. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with: Dr. Alexander Angelov, expert in educational technologies; journalist and media literacy trainer Blagoy Tsitselkov; Valentina Venkova, expert in STEAM education and certified trainer from the LEGO® Education Academy. The speakers also include Stanislav Hristov, cloud technology expert; Galya Atanasova and Vesela Ruseva, certified trainers for "Google"; Zdravka Hristova, LEGO® Education trainer; and Martin Nikiforov, visual communication expert.
Expansion at a National Level
The initiative started in 2024 and quickly gained momentum, reaching 17 cities and over 2000 participants. The achieved success testifies to the huge interest of Bulgarian teachers in modernizing the learning environment and introducing contemporary methods. The organizers note that the greatest attention was attracted by the topics of artificial intelligence, modernization of the school environment, and STEM training.
