Parts of many Sofia districts will have no power on Wednesday, 21 October, because of work on the electricity grid, the utility Electrodistribution Network West said.

The company said the cuts are for development, upgrades and maintenance of the grid. They affect only parts of the districts listed, not necessarily whole districts.

The earliest cut starts at 8:30am in Lozenets district, with power back at 4:30pm.

In Vitosha district, the Kiliite villa zone will be without power from 8:45am to 4:15pm, and the Buxton and Knyazhevo neighbourhoods from 8:45am to 4:30pm. Part of Vitosha park will have no power from 9am to 4:15pm.

From 9am to 3pm, the cuts hit the Zona B-18 housing estate and the central part of the town in Vazrazhdane, as well as parts of the Iztok housing estate in Izgrev. In the same hours, the Gevgeliyski and Sveta Troitsa housing estates in Ilinden will have no power.

Between 9am and 4:30pm, power will be off in part of Busmantsi in Iskar district, parts of Kokalyane in Pancharevo, the central part of the town in Sredets and the Malinova Dolina villa zone in Studentski Grad.

Parts of the Krasna Polyana housing estate will have no power from 9am to 4:15pm. Parts of the Slavia housing estate in Krasno Selo will be cut off from 9am to 5pm.

In Poduyane, the Levski V housing estate will be affected from 9:30am to 3:30pm. In Serdika district, power in the Banishora housing estate will be off from 9:30am to 2:15pm, and in the Benkovski neighbourhood from 9:30am to 3:15pm.

The only evening cut is in the Hristo Smirnenski housing estate in Slatina district, from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.
