A 79-year-old driver is in hospital after a head-on crash in thick fog on the Kableshkovo–Gyulovtsa road early yesterday, police said.

The man, from the village of Rudnik in Varna region, drove into the oncoming lane and hit a jeep with Burgas plates, police said.

He is being treated for a head injury at the regional hospital in Burgas. His life is not in danger.

The jeep was driven by a 75-year-old man from Medovo. There are no reports of serious injuries to him.
