The Ukrainian capital Kyiv sank into mourning after an unprecedented military aggression, in which at least 31 people were killed, including five children aged two and up. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy categorically condemned the Russian attack and demanded an immediate tightening of international sanctions against Moscow.

According to official data from Ukrainian authorities, the Russian army carried out a massive strike with more than 300 unmanned aerial vehicles and eight cruise missiles. The damage is devastating - a residential block destroyed, serious damage to a hospital, school, kindergarten, and university.

The head of state emphasized that in the last month, Russia has used nearly 5,100 gliding bombs, 3,800 Iranian "Shahed" drones, and 260 missiles, including 128 ballistic missiles. "Every day is of exceptional importance," Zelenskyy said.

US President Donald Trump sharply criticized Russia's actions, calling them "disgusting". He again set an ultimatum to Russian President Vladimir Putin to cease military actions within 10-12 days, threatening severe economic sanctions.

Diplomatic circles are expecting potential new restrictive measures. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha reported "positive signals" from the US regarding possible sanctions, especially targeted at the Russian oil sector.

Among the dead are three children of different ages - three, six, and seventeen years old. The number of injured reaches 159, including 16 minors.

Germany demonstrated support for Ukraine by announcing the delivery of two additional Patriot air defense systems in the coming days. A senior US diplomat from the UN called for an immediate ceasefire between the two sides.

Zelenskyy emphasized that stopping the war is possible only through joint efforts of the US, European countries, and global international actors. "Sanctions are working and they must be strengthened," the Ukrainian president was resolute.

The international community is watching the conflict's development with tension, as pressure on Russia continues to grow. The humanitarian crisis and human casualties continue to be a major problem requiring immediate diplomatic and political solutions.
