Burgas Zoo offers an unconventional way to celebrate Valentine's Day and Trifon Zarezan (St. Tryphon's Day, a Bulgarian winegrowers' holiday). On February 14th, visitors will enjoy a day filled with love, humor, and emotions among the animals.
Love in the air and at the zoo: Animal pairs will receive special treats in the shape of hearts. Caracals, servals, capybaras, meerkats, and capuchin monkeys are among the romantic inhabitants who will charm visitors.
A gift with a cause: An opportunity to adopt an animal, which directly supports animal care.
The most unconventional gift: The campaign "Name an African worm after your ex and feed the meerkat Timon." Visitors can name a worm after an ex and watch how the "gift" is served to the animals. All proceeds go to animal care.
Trifon Zarezan at the zoo: The festive day also includes a walk in nature with a glass of wine.
