Not a single eurocent has been spent by Bulgarian companies on the purchase of private properties at the site of Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant, said the outgoing Minister of Energy, Zhecho Stankov, in Veliko Tarnovo.
Stankov responded to the information that had emerged about a potential deal for plots near the NPP. He assigned a check, the results of which were reported to him. In addition, he ordered the companies to start a procedure for the expropriation of 20 properties on the site, which are not currently owned by the state.
The Minister pointed out that with the entry into force of the detailed urban plan of the Kozloduy NPP site, these properties can only be used for the construction of blocks 7 and 8. Stankov commented that the political smokescreen before the New Year had misled the owners of the properties, that they could receive large sums.
In addition, Zhecho Stankov commented on the creation of a decarbonization fund, which will provide funds for the renovation of single-family buildings, and will initially have 50 million euros.
