Three teams from the Regional Gendarmerie Directorate (RGD) - Burgas are providing critical assistance to the local authorities to manage the crisis situation in the Tsarevo region. As a result of unprecedented intense rainfall, a state of emergency has been declared in the area. This was announced by the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas.
The situation is escalating in the area, leaving its mark on the infrastructure and the lives of the people. On site, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior provides information on the measures taken. One of the RGD teams is stationed at the approach to the "Nestinarka" campsite with the aim of preventing vehicles from entering the flooded areas. A second team is located in the area of the bridge at "Arapya", where a complicated situation is also observed. The atmosphere there is tense, people are worried, and the rescue teams are mobilized.
Three more gendarmerie teams are operating in various locations in the Burgas region, performing critical tasks.
The Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior appeals to citizens. "Follow the instructions of the law enforcement authorities, refrain from traveling in the affected areas, and follow the current information from the official institutions," the directorate urges.
The meteorological conditions caused devastation. Over 410 liters of rain per square meter have fallen in the Tsarevo village of Izgrev. In the town of Tsarevo, the amount reached 225 liters per square meter. These drastic figures led to large-scale floods and the declaration of a state of emergency throughout the municipality. The press center of Tsarevo Municipality announced that the road infrastructure has been damaged, bridges have been destroyed, residential buildings and private properties have been flooded.
