For February 17, Tuesday, NIMH issued a first-degree warning - yellow code, for significant rainfall across the country. A second-degree warning - orange code, has been issued for the regions: Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Smolyan, Kardzhali, Haskovo, Yambol, Burgas, Sofia-oblast, Lovech, Vidin and Montana.
A first-degree warning for strong wind is in effect for Northeastern Bulgaria, where the gusts of the northeastern wind will reach up to 17-20 meters per second.
In most regions of the country, the amount of rainfall will be up to 25 liters per square meter, and in the southern regions of the country, in places in the Pre-Balkan and in the Srednogorie - between 40-50 liters per square meter.
Snowfall will occur in the northwestern regions and in the high fields in Western Bulgaria. During the night against Wednesday, with the drop in temperatures, the rain in almost the entire country will turn into snow and a snow cover will form, according to the meteorologists from NIMH.
