Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky firmly stated that his country will not make territorial concessions to the Russian Federation, regardless of the upcoming meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, scheduled for August 15 in Alaska.

In an official statement via the Telegram platform, the leader of Ukraine emphasized: "Ukrainians will not give up their lands to the occupier". He explicitly underscored the need for Ukraine to be a full participant in any peace negotiations.

Zelensky's position is a direct response to Trump's earlier comments, who suggested the possibility of a "territorial exchange". The American president noted that the region had been the subject of military actions for three and a half years, with both sides suffering significant human losses.

The Ukrainian president categorically rejected such proposals, stating that his country's constitution is clear regarding territorial integrity. "No one can or will deviate from the constitutional provisions," Zelensky was firm.

He expressed readiness to work with international partners to achieve a "real and lasting peace", but on the condition that Ukraine is a direct participant in the negotiations. "Any decisions without Ukraine's participation are actually decisions against peace," the head of state emphasized.

Among military personnel and civilians in Ukraine, there is a strong desire to end the conflict, but at the same time, there is no readiness to accept peace at any cost. People are exhausted by constant Russian drone and missile attacks, but remain firmly determined to defend their sovereignty.

The Kremlin confirmed the upcoming meeting between Trump and Putin, with details still being discussed. According to some sources, there is a possibility that Zelensky might be included in the negotiation process in some way, although at the moment this seems unlikely.

International observers note that Ukraine's position remains unshakable - no territorial concessions are acceptable, regardless of pressure and attempts at diplomatic mediation.

The upcoming meeting between the American and Russian presidents poses another challenge for international diplomacy and the search for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, which has been ongoing for more than two years.
