Official health authorities are taking decisive steps to prevent potential risks associated with dangerous trends spreading on social networks among adolescents. The specific occasion is viral challenges on the TikTok platform that encourage experimenting with drug overdosing.

The planned regulatory mechanisms include drastically limiting access to paracetamol for minors. Among the main measures are introducing age restrictions on purchases, limiting the number of allowed doses, and enhanced pharmacy control over sales.

The initiative follows European practices and recommendations of health institutions that have also identified similar risk communication models among the youth community. Experts emphasize the preventive nature of the actions taken.

The new rules are expected to be introduced in the coming months, with a large-scale information campaign on safe medication use to be implemented in parallel. The goal is to improve health culture and prevent potential incidents among adolescents.
