Over 40 elderly people participated in a campaign by "The Young Doctors" and Burgas Municipality.

In an atmosphere of enthusiasm and open dialogue, the "The Young Doctors" Association and Burgas Municipality joined forces in a significant public campaign dedicated to the health and well-being of senior citizens. The initiative, titled "In Rhythm for Health", was held in cooperation with the team of the Burgas Home Social Patronage and gathered nearly forty participants in the cozy setting of the "Flora Burgas" Exhibition Center. The event, which took place in the conference hall, was filled with lively conversations and visibly good spirits, with participants showing great interest in each of the topics presented.

The event offered attendees a comprehensive look at various aspects of a healthy life. It started with a practical session led by physiotherapist Denitsa Payantova from the Home Social Patronage. With infectious enthusiasm, she demonstrated easy and pleasant exercises suitable for daily gymnastics that can improve the mobility and tone of older people.

A key focus of the meeting was also the presentation of an innovative development aimed at increasing the safety of elderly people with cognitive impairments. The "Purple Bracelet" was presented—an innovative solution from Home Social Patronage - Burgas, created to help people with dementia. This bracelet facilitates their recognition, which is crucial for the quick and safe return of lost individuals home.

The medical lectures, delivered by some of the most prominent young specialists in Burgas, were met with great interest. Dr. Lina Hadzhiilieva, a gastroenterologist and a member of the Association's Board of Directors, gave an in-depth lecture on the topic "Healthy Eating – The Foundation of a Full Life". She explained the basic principles of a balanced diet, which is crucial for maintaining good health in old age.

After her, Dr. Dilyana Stoyanova, an endocrinologist, joined with a very useful talk focused on "Nutrition for Osteoporosis and Bone Care". This lecture addressed one of the most common health problems among the elderly population, providing practical advice for prevention and maintaining healthy bones through a proper diet.

Team of Specialists

The team of lecturers was also joined by other prominent members of the "The Young Doctors" Association, including:

Their presence underscored the multidisciplinary approach of the initiative.

At the end of the event, the doctors provided participants with the opportunity for free health consultations. They conducted a screening that included measuring blood pressure and blood sugar, providing individual advice on a healthy lifestyle and guidance for regular check-ups. This practical part was particularly appreciated by the attendees, who had the opportunity to receive valuable information about their own health from leading specialists.
