X-Yachts Bourgas Sailing Week 2026: Bourgas Kicks Off the South Eastern European Sailing Grand Prix

The upcoming edition of the X-Yachts Bourgas Sailing Week (April 29 – May 3, 2026) officially launches the South Eastern European Sailing Grand Prix. The regatta unites the efforts of leading clubs in Bulgaria, Turkey, and Greece and is supported by X-Yachts. Bourgas positions itself as a leading sailing center.

The upcoming edition of the international regatta X-Yachts Bourgas Sailing Week (April 29 – May 3, 2026) is shaping up to be the most significant to date. This year, the event will give the official start to the South Eastern European Sailing Grand Prix – a large-scale sailing series encompassing four regattas in Bulgaria, Turkey, and Greece.

X-Yachts Bourgas Sailing Week 2026 is the first stop of the new Grand Prix format, which unites the efforts of leading clubs in the region.

Yacht Club "Port Burgas" is partnering with the leading maritime organizations in the region – the sailing clubs in Istanbul, Tekirdag, and Alexandroupolis. This strategic alliance aims to establish a unified high standard in the conduct of regattas and to stimulate sports exchange between Bulgaria, Turkey, and Greece.

As equal partners in the initiative stand - Yacht Club "Port Burgas" (Bulgaria), Istanbul Yelken Kulübü (Istanbul, Turkey), Tekirdağ Yelken İhtisas Kulübü (Tekirdag, Turkey), Nautical Club of Alexandroupolis (NOA) (Alexandroupolis, Greece).

The organizers from Yacht Club "Port Burgas" announced a new key partnership with the Danish superbrand X-Yachts, a leader in the production of luxury yachts. This collaboration underscores the growing international authority of the regatta.

Within four competition days, Burgas Bay will host the elite of small sailing. The regatta is open to the following classes: Optimist, ILCA 4, 420, ILCA 6, ILCA 7, 470, Finn.

The organizers commented that the event is special thanks to the partnership with X-Yachts and the start of the South Eastern European Sailing Grand Prix, creating a platform for international cooperation that will position Burgas as a leading sailing center.

The sailing regatta is organized by Yacht Club "Port Burgas" with the support of Burgas Municipality and the State Enterprise "Port Infrastructure".
