According to Varadi, the aviation industry as a whole is developing in the right direction, as it creates jobs and stimulates the economic development of individual countries.

He expressed the opinion that all airlines have the potential for a good future, and the sustainability of the business will increasingly rely on the implementation of new technologies.

According to him, the most promising path towards further progress is related to the use of hydrogen in aviation, which can lead to a significant reduction in environmental impact.

Varadi's forecast is that in a few decades, the issue of carbon emissions in the sector will not be a central issue at all, as technologies and new solutions will completely change the picture.

Until then, according to him, the combination of sustainable aviation fuel and technological innovations will provide the necessary effect to limit emissions and improve efficiency.

Jozsef Varadi pointed out that Wizz Air is working in two main directions to increase efficiency – both in economic terms and in terms of environmental protection.

He emphasized that the company has been investing in modernizing its fleet for years, with about 70 percent of the aircraft already being of a new generation with higher technological characteristics and lower fuel consumption.

In addition, the machines have a larger capacity, which allows more passengers to be transported with fewer flights and thus further limit the carbon emissions per flight.

According to Varadi, the implemented new technologies make it possible to reduce fuel combustion by 17 percent compared to the older aircraft models used in the past.

He added that Wizz Air has already repeatedly received recognition as one of the most sustainable airlines worldwide and plays an active role in setting the agenda on sustainability issues in the industry.
