New Horizons: Wizz Air Connects Varna and Sofia with Europe
The airline "Wizz Air" has launched the long-awaited direct route Varna – Warsaw (Modlin). The first flight took place on May 21st, and the route will be operated regularly throughout the summer season – every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
The expansion of the base in Varna with a third Airbus A321neo aircraft in 2026 marks a key milestone in the company's strategy for development in the Bulgarian market.
What are the future flight plans?
The air carrier is preparing a significant increase in its capacity by adding an eighth aircraft to its base in Sofia. Here are the new routes that passengers can expect:
- From Varna: Barcelona, Athens, Paris (Beauvais), Debrecen, and Gdańsk.
- From Sofia: Budapest, Palermo, Rhodes, Hurghada, and Sharm el-Sheikh.
These new connections are an excellent opportunity for both business travel and planning summer vacations to some of the most attractive destinations in Europe and Egypt.
