During the night, the cloud cover over the country will increase and thicken, but only in isolated places in Northern Bulgaria and the Rila-Rhodope region will there be precipitation, mainly rain, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).
In the northwestern regions there will be conditions for ice. The southwest wind in most regions will weaken, north of the mountains and in Southeastern Bulgaria it will remain moderate and gusty. The minimum temperatures will be in wide ranges: from minus 1° in the northwestern regions to 13° in the southeastern regions, in Sofia – around 5°.
Atmospheric pressure is lower than the monthly average, it will not change significantly.
Tomorrow the weather will be cloudy. In places, mainly in Northern Bulgaria and the Rila-Rhodope region, there will be rain. In the extreme northwestern regions, the rain will mix and turn into snow. The wind in the eastern half of the country and north of the mountains will be moderate and temporarily strong from the south-southwest. The temperatures there will remain high, the maximums will be up to 14°-16°. In most of the Danube Plain the wind will be weak, in many regions it will also be calming down. The temperatures there will remain without a significant daily course, close to or slightly above 0°. In Sofia, the maximum temperature will be around 12°.
On the Black Sea coast, the weather will be cloudy, but there will be almost no precipitation. A moderate and temporarily strong wind from the south-southwest will blow. The maximum temperatures will be between 13° and 17°. The sea water temperature is 9°-11°. The sea swell will be 2-4 degrees.
In the mountains, the weather will be cloudy. In places there will be snowfall, below 1800 meters – rain. A strong and stormy southwest wind will blow. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 8°, at 2000 meters – around 2°.
On Tuesday and Wednesday the weather will be cloudy. In places there will be precipitation, mainly rain. The wind in the eastern half of the country will be moderate and strong from the south-southwest, and the temperatures there will remain high, the minimums - up to 10°-12°, the maximums - up to 16°-18°. In the northwestern regions, the wind will be very weak or it will be almost calm. The temperatures there will remain without a significant daily course, close to 0°, and the conditions for ice, as well as for reduced visibility, remain. (NIMH)
