Temporary restrictions for trucks over 12 tons on the Trakia and Struma motorways

The Road Infrastructure Agency is introducing temporary restrictions for heavy goods vehicles over 12 tons during peak weekend hours to ensure safety and facilitate traffic flow towards the Black Sea coast.

Temporary traffic organization during the weekend

In order to increase safety, the Road Infrastructure Agency is introducing movement restrictions for heavy trucks over 12 tons on Fridays and Sundays. The measures apply to the following sections:

The restriction aims to reduce the prerequisites for accidents during overtaking and the buildup of vehicle convoys during peak hours.

Important: The restriction does not apply to the transport of dangerous goods (ADR), live animals, perishable foods, and vehicles of road maintenance companies.
