Our national volleyball team received a significant bonus, amounting to 520 thousand leva, from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This announcement was made during a press conference by Gabriel Valkov, Chairman of the Committee on Youth and Sports Issues in the National Assembly.

Valkov used the occasion to congratulate the volleyball players, emphasizing that this bonus was deserved as a result of the consistent successes of the volleyball federation. The atmosphere of the press conference, as recreated by the media, suggested joy and pride in the achievements of the national team.

The chairman of the committee emphasized the commitment of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to fund sports federations and to provide as much funding as possible for the development of sports. Against the backdrop of the current debates on the future of sports infrastructure, this statement takes on additional significance.

This year, the ministry's budget is undergoing a one-third increase, with these funds primarily directed towards the renovation and construction of sports facilities, said Valkov. According to him, work is currently underway on 43 new sports facilities in the country.

A new program is expected to be announced soon, which will enable municipalities to apply with new sports projects. Valkov expressed hope that with the adoption of the new budget, a further increase in funding for the ministry by another third will be realized. This would be a positive sign for the development of sports in our country.

The government's program provides for an increase in funding for both sports and young people, the MP added.
