US military convoy crosses Bulgaria
The Ministry of Defense has officially confirmed that US Armed Forces personnel and military equipment will transit through the national road infrastructure on June 12 and 13. The transit is moving from Greece towards Romania.
The movement of the military is related to their participation in a planned exercise on the territory of our northern neighbor.
Necessary measures have been taken to ensure safety during the movement of the convoys:
- An escort by Military Police teams has been provided.
- Careful route planning to avoid difficulties for other road users.
We remind you that this is not the first instance of allied forces transiting through the country. In May, a military unit from Turkey also passed through Bulgarian territory to participate in the "NATO - Serbia 2026" exercise.
