Temporary road closure of Road I-9: Pomorie - Burgas
The Municipality of Pomorie has officially announced that a temporary traffic organization will be introduced on Road I-9 on May 8 due to the prestigious Giro d'Italia cycling tour.
Citizens are urged to avoid traveling during the specified time interval to prevent traffic jams and inconveniences.
Schedule of restrictions:
- From 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Traffic will be restricted, with vehicles allowed to pass only through the roundabout for the "Kamenar" district.
- From 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM: Complete traffic ban in the section from Pomorie towards Burgas and towards Aheloy.
- After 3:00 PM: The road will be opened for traffic in all directions.
Scale of the event
In addition to the Pomorie area, the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) warns of phased restrictions across the country. In the period from May 8 to 10, traffic will be hindered in the regions of Burgas, Sliven, Yambol, Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, and Sofia due to the stages of the "Giro d’Italia – Bulgaria Grande Partenza" race.
