Vladimir Ivanov, head of the Euro Coordination Center, stated that the process of introducing the euro in Bulgaria is proceeding successfully. According to him, violations are not found in more than 90% of the inspections.

Ivanov noted that there is confusion and concern, emphasizing the need for higher financial literacy and awareness. The Center has received over 1500 calls from citizens.

Hundreds of inspections have been carried out in over 35 cities. Ivanov urged political and non-governmental organizations to be more accurate in their reports.

The service sector, including hairdressing salons and parking lots, has been identified as a problematic area where violations are observed. Ivanov noted that large retailers in the food trade round up prices in favor of consumers.
