The teams working on the ground have already made emergency reinforcement and a new rock armor at the beginning of the alley.
The problem with the bike path has been going on for many years. Back in 2023, as a result of strong winds and powerful waves, part of it collapsed into the sea. This made it completely unusable. To get to the neighborhood, pedestrians and cyclists had to go along an agricultural road.
In November last year, the bike path to Sarafovo was transferred to the management and maintenance of the Municipality of Burgas, and the local government started real activities for coastal reinforcement and its restoration.
