Traffic restored on renovated sections of Trakia Motorway

Starting June 26, normal traffic is restored in two sections of the Trakia Motorway – in the Sofia region (km 33-39) and the Yambol region (km 282-287). The repairs are completed on schedule, which will facilitate travel at the beginning of the active summer season.

Repair works continue in the area of Stara Zagora (km 208-229), with traffic expected to be fully restored by July 3.

Temporary restrictions for trucks over 12 tons

To ensure safety and prevent the formation of traffic jams, the Road Infrastructure Agency is introducing restrictions on the movement of heavy goods vehicles over 12 tons during peak hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays:

The restriction does not apply to the transport of perishable goods, live animals, hazardous materials, and passenger buses.

Reversible traffic through the Kresna Gorge

To facilitate tourists heading towards Bansko and Greece, reversible traffic will be implemented in the Simitli area – with two lanes towards Kulata on Friday, and two lanes towards Sofia on Sunday.
