Good news for Bulgarian hunters
The Council of Ministers has officially adopted a Decree amending and supplementing the Tariff for fees collected under the Law on Hunting and Game Protection. The main change is aimed at easing the administrative burden on Bulgarian citizens.
The fee for the administrative service of issuing and validating a hunting license for Bulgarian citizens is being abolished.
What is changing?
- Removal of the fee: The issuance and validation of hunting licenses for Bulgarian hunters is now free of charge.
- Clarity in procedures: New clarifying texts have been adopted, clearly distinguishing between the collection of fees for Bulgarian and foreign hunters.
- Entry into force: The changes become valid from the 1st day of the month following the month of their publication in the "State Gazette".
Statistics
The decision affects a significant part of society, as according to data from two years ago from the National Association of Hunters and Anglers in Bulgaria, over 130,000 people in our country validate their hunting licenses annually, and those practicing recreational fishing number over 250,000.
