The chairman of “We Continue the Change” (WCC) Asen Vasilev stated that there will be a large protest in front of the Courthouse tonight, demanding that the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) start doing its job. He expressed his desire for Borislav Sarafov to be removed from the position of Chief Prosecutor.

Vasilev also commented on the election of regional governors, emphasizing that fair elections require stopping the bought vote, carried out by GERB and DPS. He added that all the “umbrellas” from the Ministry of Interior, appointed by the former Minister Kalin Stoyanov, should be removed.

Regarding the accusations of covering up the “Petrohan” case, Vasilev pointed out that an international investigation has been requested. He stated that he does not trust the Bulgarian prosecution.

Vasilev also answered a question about the 5% indexation of salaries in the budget sector, emphasizing that revenues from VAT have increased enough to cover the indexation. He also expressed concern about the deficit of 900 million euros, noting that this has not happened in the last 30 years.

In addition, Vasilev commented on the increased prices of road repair contracts, concluded in 2024 and 2025, by 50%. He compared this situation to the lack of funds for doctors and nurses, for whose salary increase 100 million euros were needed.
