Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev announced a series of significant administrative transformations that are upcoming in the coming months. In an official statement to the media, he confirmed that new deputy mayors will be presented by the end of August, while simultaneously planning a substantial change in the organizational structure of the municipal administration.

A key point in Terziev's statement is the circumstance that not all current positions will necessarily be filled with new deputies. The leadership is considering optimizing existing units, with a specific example being the unit responsible for European policies.

Among the most discussed topics was the departure of the current Deputy Mayor for Finance and Healthcare, Ivan Vasilev. Terziev emphasized that this process is proceeding calmly and without dramatic circumstances. "Regardless of who comes and goes, the administration continues to function," the mayor stated categorically.

Regarding Vasilev's future professional prospects, Terziev was reserved. To direct questions about whether his former deputy might join the presidential team, he responded diplomatically: "Time will tell. Mr. Vasilev has not shared such intentions with me".

A significant part of the statement was dedicated to preparations for the next budget period. Terziev assured that current financial processes are proceeding as planned, specifically emphasizing that no external pressure influences personnel decisions.

An additional focus of the press conference was the topic of Vrana Park. The mayor sharply criticized the regional administration for not showing willingness to take responsibility for park space maintenance, despite the increased budget.

Terziev's response was particularly sharp to comments by GERB leader Boyko Borissov, who claimed that only the "dream" remains from the "dream team" in Sofia Municipality. "I have remained with the flag and will guard it like a soldier," Terziev parried, demonstrating confidence and determination.

In conclusion, the Sofia mayor emphasized that he is ready to meet all challenges significantly faster and more effectively than his predecessors. His message was clear - he continues consistent work in the interest of Sofia's residents.
