A new monument to the Apostle of Freedom in Burgas
The "Proud Bulgarians" Foundation is joining efforts for the construction of an impressive monument to Vasil Levski in the city of Burgas. The monument will be located in a key urban area – in the garden between "Vasil Levski" and "Hristo Botev" streets, near the "Ivan Vazov" Secondary School and the "Konstantin Fotinov" Vocational High School of Electrical Engineering and Electronics.
The project is being realized after 4 years of intensive preparation and coordination with the Municipality of Burgas. Currently, the documentation is at the Ministry of Culture for final approval.
Team and project details
- Sculptors: Dobrin Vatev, Vladimir Dungyov, and Igor Hristov.
- Architects: Vasil Donchev and Filipa Guguchkova.
- Project cost: 240,000 euros (including bronze figures, construction and installation works, and artistic lighting).
