From today in Varna, a new era begins for drivers - the green zone for paid parking comes into effect. This decision, expected by many and met with different opinions, affects a large number of motorists in two key areas of the sea capital. The affected areas are "Odesos" and "Primorski", where residents and guests of the city will have to comply with the new rules.
The system covers a total of seven subzones, strategically located in the heart of Varna. The total number of parking spaces included in the green zone exceeds an impressive 10,200, which clearly shows the scale of the change. Of these places, special attention is paid to people with specific needs, as 580 parking spaces are designated for them.
The operation of the green zone is scheduled for weekdays, covering the period from 9:00 to 19:00. It is important to note that the maximum stay for cars in these zones is limited to 5 hours without interruption. This restriction aims to ensure the rotation of parking spaces and to prevent their occupancy for long periods of time.
The financial aspect of the issue is also of key importance to everyone. The fee for short-term parking is fixed at 1 lev per hour. This is the price that every driver must pay if they wish to park their car within the specified zone. Special subscriptions are provided for the residents of the affected areas. The monthly fee is 5 leva for one car, while the annual subscription amounts to 55 leva. It is important to note that even with a subscription, a specific parking space is not guaranteed.
