The first-of-its-kind arcade game with an educational and environmental focus – “Arcade with a Mission,” developed by DevHubOne, was officially opened at Lyuben Karavelov Primary School. The project is being implemented within the framework of a partnership program of EVN Bulgaria for students from 2nd to 4th grade, with the aim of promoting sustainable development, environmental protection, and modern education.

The event was attended by representatives of the company's senior management, Kalina Trifonova and Zdravko Bratoev, the director of the “Education” department in Burgas Municipality, Katya Misheva, and the director of Lyuben Karavelov Primary School, Ivaylo Binev, teachers and students who tested the functionality of the console.

The new arcade console offers over 4 themed video games, created both for entertainment and with a clear educational purpose. Students immerse themselves in interactive environmental challenges through which they learn how to recycle, protect nature, and make informed decisions for a sustainable future.

The innovation that distinguishes “Arcade with a Mission” is the way it is activated. Instead of traditional tokens, the console works with plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Students simply place the waste in a special slot, and the device unlocks a new themed eco-game. Thus, each launch turns into an educational experience that entertains, informs, and rewards.

“Arcade with a Mission” is the first arcade machine in Bulgaria in which waste serves as a means of access to the game, turning recycling into an adventure. It stimulates the curiosity of the students, develops their digital and environmental skills, and creates a new, attractive model for learning through play.

Following the presentation of the console, students from the school also demonstrated a specially made model of a city with an environmental focus, reflecting their vision for a future with a clean environment. The model included recycling zones, green areas, sustainable transport solutions and was a strong example of the children's creativity and commitment to the topic.

The project is another step towards integrating innovative technologies in education and establishing good practices for sustainable development in the school environment.
