The village of Delzhiler was founded by Bulgarian settlers from Polski Gradec in the 1830s. It is located in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of the Odesa region. Over 4,000 residents live in the village, with about 95% of them being ethnic Bulgarians. The "Prosveta" school is an important factor in preserving the Bulgarian language and culture in this region.
