The University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment (UMBAL) in Burgas has announced a competition for doctors who wish to acquire a specialty. The numbers are individual, but in key medical fields, the hospital's press center announced.
This is a chance for medics ready to develop in a real clinical environment and to gain practical experience from the very beginning of their professional path, the medical facility added.
One of the vacancies for specialization is in the Second Surgical Department. Dr. Borislav Penev, who is already a resident in this department, said that the biggest advantage of specializing at UMBAL in Burgas is the urgency and variety of patients.
In addition to intensive practice, residents work with experienced doctors who actively participate in their training and development.
In the Department of Forensic Medicine, there is also one vacancy for a resident doctor. The remaining opportunities are in the fields of: neurosurgery, anesthesiology and resuscitation, imaging diagnostics, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hemodialysis and nephrology, cardiology, general and clinical pathology, pediatrics.
The competition includes selection by documents and an oral exam, with the aim of selecting motivated candidates with a desire for professional development and commitment to medical practice. More information can be obtained from the website of the medical facility.
BTA recalls that last year UMBAL in Burgas gave fifteen doctors the chance to become specialists. The hospital announces competitions for residents twice a year.
