The Department of Rheumatology actively participated in two scientific forums with a total of four reports. The topics they addressed are focused on the changes in the rheumatic status of a person with aging. This issue is of extremely high public importance, especially considering the trend of an aging population and increased life expectancy. The team demonstrated its expertise at the World Congress on Musculoskeletal Diseases, which was held in Rome.
The Orthopedics Clinic of UMHAT Burgas received approval for three of its reports from the scientific jury of the 16th National Congress of the Bulgarian Orthopedic and Traumatology Association (BOTA). This congress is one of the leading events in Bulgaria in the field of orthopedics, traumatology, physiotherapy, and sports medicine, and includes international participation.
A joint report by the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Neurosurgery was presented at the International Congress of the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies in Vienna. The report examines approaches to childbirth in women with lumbar disc herniation, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and multidisciplinary work between different medical specialties. The Department of Gynecology also participated in two other autumn conferences, presenting innovations in the field of women's health.
At the 23rd National Conference on Neurosurgery, which was held this month, a case from the practice of neurosurgeons from UMHAT Burgas was reported.
