In the early morning hours of July 4, Ukrainian drones carried out a large-scale operation against a key military facility in the Moscow region. The target of the attack was the Research Institute of Applied Chemistry, which plays a critical role in Russia's military production.

According to official reports from the Ukrainian General Staff, the drones successfully struck the strategic facility that produces thermobaric warheads for "Shahid" unmanned aerial vehicles. The attack caused extensive destruction and triggered serious disruptions in local infrastructure.

The results of the attack were dramatic - a large fire engulfed the area, with columns of black smoke rising over Sergiev Posad. An electrical substation was put out of commission, leading to power outages in six urban neighborhoods.

Nearly 50,000 local residents were left without electricity, and several social and health facilities were forced to limit their operations. Two people were slightly injured, with their medical condition described as moderate.

Eyewitnesses reported at least four explosions and the presence of multiple drones over the urban space. Ukrainian military defines the operation as a strategic success aimed at reducing Russian air attack capabilities.

The attack was carried out more than 500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, demonstrating the significant operational range of Ukrainian air forces.
