Ukrainian drones attacked St. Petersburg, residents urged to stay in their homes

On the morning of June 6, Ukrainian drones attacked St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region; 141 downed drones, mobile internet outages, and a fire near "Bolshaya Izhora" were reported, with no casualties.

Ukrainian drones attacked St. Petersburg. There are internet outages in the city, and the governor urged residents not to go out into the streets.

The attack was carried out in the morning hours of June 6, 2026, against St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

The governor of St. Petersburg "Alexander Beglov" in his "Telegram" channel around 7:00 AM urged the citizens of the city to "stay in their homes and not go out on the street". This is the first time he has issued such a warning.

As a result of the attack during the night and morning, disruptions and outages in mobile internet service were registered in the city.

The governor of the Leningrad region "Alexander Drozdenko", for his part, reported that "141 unmanned aerial vehicles" had been downed over the region. Debris fell in the "Luzhsky", "Volosovsky", and "Lomonosovsky" districts of the region.

"Drozdenko" also reported a fire in the area of the "Bolshaya Izhora" settlement. He did not specify the scale of the damage.

So far, there have been no official reports of deaths or injuries.
