The American nuclear giant "Westinghouse Electric Company" officially launched a strategic partnership with the Bulgarian company "MTG-Delphin" in the context of the large-scale expansion project of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant. The agreement covers key activities for implementing the innovative AP1000 technology and developing national industrial potential.
The contract provides for the development of a specialized "Nuclear Quality Assurance Program" (NQA-1), which includes in-depth preparation in the field of nuclear safety. Beyond the technical aspects, the agreement opens up broad horizons for the Bulgarian side - opportunities to participate in Westinghouse international projects in Europe and beyond the continent.
Svetlin Stoyanov, CEO of "MTG-Delphin", emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership: "Our involvement demonstrates Bulgaria's serious industrial potential in modern nuclear energy". In turn, Dan Lipman from Westinghouse confirmed the commitment to building a strong chain of Bulgarian suppliers.
Within the project, the company has already established communication with 30 Bulgarian suppliers who could participate in the construction of the new power blocks. Interested companies can obtain detailed information through the official Westinghouse Bulgaria website.
As for "MTG-Delphin" - a Varna-based company with diverse activities, it possesses significant experience in design, construction, and maritime activities. The company is registered in the commercial register with a wide range of activities, including vessel design, metal structures, construction, and foreign trade.
